Our Story

Hi, I'm Ify — designer and founder of MOCA Jewellery.

I'm a Londoner through and through, born and raised in North London. MOCA is named after the initials of my mum, dad, and brother — a little tribute to the people who shaped me.

Jewellery has always been in my DNA. My mum wouldn't let me leave the house without earrings, and what started as making friendship bracelets at school turned into a full-blown obsession. After a few years working post-uni, I packed up and moved to Toronto for a bit. I spent time working in creative agencies, surrounded by bold, talented people who reminded me that playing it safe is overrated. I took a silversmithing course at George Brown College and everything clicked.

After years of friends telling me to stop hoarding my work and actually sell it, MOCA Jewellery was born.

MOCA is about celebrating the imperfect and the unapologetic — designs that are bold, a bit gaudy, and full of character. Life isn't linear or polished, and neither is my work. Not all lines are straight, not all surfaces are smooth, and some pieces are just meant to make you smile.

Every piece is handmade and one-of-a-kind, blending simple forms with textured, tactile details. I use recycled silver wherever I can and only ethically sourced stones — because jewellery should be something you treasure, wear daily, and pass down.

My hope is that MOCA becomes part of your story — worn on the days that matter and the ones that don't, collecting memories along the way.

With love,
Ify xx
