Our Story
Hi, I’m Ify, the designer and founder of Moca Jewellery. I’m a proud Londoner through and through, born and raised in North London. Moca is a tribute to my family, named after the initials of my mum, dad, and brother.
Jewellery has always been part of my story — inspired by my mum, who never let me leave the house without earrings. This passion blossomed from making friendship bracelets in school into a lifelong love for design. After a few years in the workforce post-university, I packed up and moved to Toronto for a brief stint, spending time working in creative agencies. Surrounded by bold, talented artists, I was inspired to explore my creativity. I took a silversmith course at George Brown College and found my calling.
With years of encouragement from friends and family to turn my hobby into a business, Moca Jewellery was born.
Moca is about celebrating life’s imperfections and embracing designs that are bold, gaudy, and full of personality. Life isn’t linear or perfect — it’s full of memories and laughter — and I reflect that in every piece. Not all lines are straight, not all surfaces flawless, and some designs are simply meant to make you smile.
Each piece is handmade and unique, combining simple forms with distinct, textured details. Sustainability matters to me too — I use recycled silver whenever possible and ethically sourced stones to create jewellery meant to be treasured and passed down.
My hope is that Moca Jewellery joins you as you make your own memories and stories, bringing as much joy to your journey as it’s brought to mine.
With love,
Moca Jewellery xx
