Process
Every piece of MOCA Jewellery is handmade, one at a time, by me in my home studio in London. With over 15 years of experience, I blend technical craft with a design sensibility rooted in sculpture, art, and storytelling.
I use the ancient craft of lost-wax casting — a method that involves hand-carving each design in wax before casting it into precious metal. The casting is carried out locally in Hatton Garden, London's historic jewellery quarter. This traditional process allows me to create bold, textured, and expressive pieces that can't be replicated by a machine.
Many of the stone-set designs use the cast-in-place technique. The stones are placed directly into the wax model and remain in position throughout the casting process. As the molten metal flows in, it forms around the stones, locking them in place. This method gives each piece a raw, organic finish, ensuring that no two settings are exactly alike — it's as much alchemy as it is craft.
Because each item is cast and finished individually, no two are ever quite the same. You might notice subtle variations from the photographs — that's the beauty of it. Your piece is truly one of a kind.
The jewellery is made to order, and I put hours into every piece. It's slow, intentional work. Quality takes time, and it shows in the final result.
When you wear a piece from MOCA, you're carrying something made with patience, precision, and purpose. Each design is a reflection of time, care, and craft — not mass production. The jewellery is made to last, made to be felt, and made to mean something. It's personal, sculptural, and intentionally created — not just to adorn, but to resonate.
